Immediately after graduating in 1997 with degrees in real estate and finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, Jason entered the commercial real estate industry as a research analyst with Richard Bowers & Company. After a year of research work, he transitioned into brokerage and specialized in tenant representation. After six years with Richard Bowers & Company, Jason joined Grubb & Ellis Company. In 2004, he helped start City Commercial Real Estate, Inc. and is a founding Partner of the company. As a ten year veteran in the commercial real estate brokerage business, he has been involved in over 1 million square feet of office and industrial projects in the southeastern United States.

The Burks Companies hired City Commercial to find a new building to purchase which would serve as their new corporate headquarters. As a result of limited options that met all of their requirements in their desired location, we found them a short-term office sublease opportunity just down the street from their previous location. This offered them extra time and flexibility to continue their search for the perfect new location for their corporate headquarters, as well as incredible value.

  • Secured rental rate for a sublease located in Class A building that was 64% below the currently quoted market rental rate.
  • Negotiated for a $5 PSF improvement allowance to make minor changes and improvements to the sublease space.
